Screen printing is to stretch silk fabric, synthetic fiber fabric or metal screen on the screen frame, and make screen printing plates by hand engraving paint film or photochemical plate making. Screen printing plate making uses photosensitive emulsion and photosensitive solution (ammonium dichromate solution). Screen printing plate making is the starting point of screen printing, and care should be taken in the production process.
Screen printing process:
1. When making a plate, the photosensitive emulsion and the photosensitive liquid are poured into the slurry in the proportion of 10:1. Then stir slowly until the two liquids are mixed. At the same time, it should not be operated under strong light, otherwise it will lose its effectiveness.
2. After the photosensitive emulsion is adjusted, slightly tilt the photosensitive emulsion to flow onto the mesh cloth, and scrape it upward until it reaches the top of the mesh cloth. And uniformly coated on the mesh cloth.
3. Then apply the photosensitive emulsion on both sides of the screen frame once in the same way, and then dry it with hot air of a blower.
4. After the screen is blown dry, the photosensitive printing shall be carried out immediately to avoid full photosensitivity. The light can be 200W indoor lighting gun or two 20W fluorescent lamps. Place the screen flat under the light, and then put the positive film photosensitive film upward on the screen, then cover it with glass and press it on the left and right sides with two iron clips. The appropriate distance between the light and the screen is 20cm-30cm The photosensitive time is about 8 to 10 minutes.
5. The screen printing screen after photosensitization should be washed with water or lightly wiped with sponge. The water pressure should be moderate and not too strong. Do not break the screen cloth. It should be noted that the black part of the original positive film on the screen is washed away by water, while the white transparent part forms a hard film and sticks firmly to the screen until the pattern is clear.
6. After the screen printing screen plate is washed out with water, cover the screen plate with dry cloth to absorb the water. Let the screen dry naturally or blow dry with a hair dryer. This completes the plate making process.
7. After the screen printing is finished, place the object to be printed under the screen, align the position, pour the ink on the inner frame of the screen, hold the rubber scraper in the right hand, and scrape it downward with a gradient of 50 ° to 70 °. Pay attention to the average force, and the pattern will be printed on the required object clearly.
